Do I need to cancel my current direct debit?

If you have just switched do not cancel your current direct debit right away as the switch can take from 4 to 6 weeks to be complete. Only cancel your direct debit once you have received and paid your final bill to your old supplier.  Your old supplier should cancel your payments automatically once the account has been settled and the last payment taken however we advise that at this point you go ahead and cancel your direct debit just to be on the safe side.
