Who is OFGEM?

Ofgem is the regulating body for electricity and gas markets in Britain.  It stands for “Office of Gas and Electricity Markets” and was formed to protect the interests of energy consumers and to promote competition and transparency in the market.  They work with – but independently of – the energy suppliers, the United Kingdom government and the European Union.

Ofgem is the best place to find help dealing with your energy supplier or to learn more about the energy industry in general.  https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/
